Botox
This is a non-invasive way to remove wrinkles and give a more youthful appearance. Many people who received botox treatment from Dr. Levine experience comments from friends or family that question whether they just went on a vacation, or wonder why they look so relaxed and refreshed. Elimination of the appearance of wrinkles gives you a more youthful-appearing face and the illusion that you are more rested, relaxed, and calm. While most people find that the administration of Botox is not painful, everyone does experience pain differently; for those that feel some discomfort, we use numbing cream that can minimize any pain. Dr. Levine has expertly administered Botox for more than 15 years, and has been trained in many advanced techniques to optimize results.
Facial Fillers
Facial Volumization with Hyaluronic Acid, Juvederm®, Voluma, Juvederm XC, Juvederm Ultra XC, Vobella XC, and more. Using the various types of hyaluronic acid- type fillers allows Dr. Levine to provide the proper filling or plumpness for a specific area of the face, and to allow for effective treatment of age-related volume loss. For example, the hyaluronic acid used to fill the midface is more effective if the hyaluronic acid is more cross-linked and has a stronger matrix providing more plump than what would typically be used in the lips. In addition, someone with mild lip volume loss would benefit with a less cross-linked hyaluronic acid than someone with large lip volume loss. Different areas of the face respond better to differences in cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid molecules. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that occurs in all tissues and fluids in your body. Hyaluronic acid is necessary for the moisture holding, elasticity, and structure of skin, tissues, and skeleton. This ubiquitous natural occurring compound is found most prevalent in skin. Hyaluronic acid is a valuable component to your entire health and appearance. Hyaluronic acid is being used for many medical treatments, including injections into joints to help cushion joints where cartilage has been lost. Dr. Levine has been expertly injecting hyaluronic acid fillers for more than 15 years, and has attended several advance technique classes to better optimize one’s appearance and results. Please be aware that hyaluronic acid fillers require a much higher degree of skill to optimize your appearance than a Botox® injection, especially since the hyaluronic acid is not inexpensive. Beware of practitioners not trained in advanced facial volumization techniques, as in inexperienced hands you will dramatically increase your costs as the practitioner will waste a large amount of injectable hyaluronic acid while only minimally volumizing the face. Dr. Levine’s focus is on creating a natural youthful look with hyaluronic acid, and abhors the “fake” over- filled look that can make one look like the Joker, duck- lipped, or disfigured. Dr. Levine enjoys the art of medicine in volumizing a face, but especially loves creating sexy natural looking lips.
Kybella®
Kybella® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin. As we age or gain weight, fat will accumulate in the submental area (under chin). The accumulation of fat in this area is typically called a double chin. Most people do not like the appearance of a double or triple chin as it makes the neck and jawline to appear fatter and gives the appearance of aging and being overweight. Kybella® is a non-surgical, non-invasive way to remove excess fat under the chin. Kybella® is deoxycholic acid that melts away fat after two to four treatments, and helps provide a sleeker neck and jawline. Dr. Levine uses a special skin cleansing and numbing protocol to minimize your chance of infection or pain. Typically, results are seen by the second treatment, and most patients require 2-4 Kybella® sessions, each four to six weeks apart to achieve optimum results.
